Awesome Winter Clothes Organization
A few years ago I was searching online for an inexpensive way to organize my hats, gloves & scarves (alternative to the Rubbermaid tote that I had to rummage through in the front hallway each time I went out into the cold). I scrolled past images online of short dowels across the inside of a closet door and-AH HA, an idea was born!
I purchased 2 towel bars from the store (less than $5 each) and already had a package of curtain clips laying around (they were too small to hang living room curtains), so I screwed the towel bars into the inside of the front hallway door and-viola! Now I can see all of my winter items easily!
TIPS:
- Use appropriate screw length for your door
- Not ideal for hollow core doors
- Not recommended for property renters. Or get permission first!
- Some clamps have sharp teeth so use caution when hanging knit items. I usually clip to the inside of a hat of glove to prevent snags & pulling
